Most of the time date nights don’t have to be expensive, overcomplicated, or even really well planned out. They can be simple, creative, and just provide a good environment for two people to get to know each other (better). However, sometimes, and once in a while, a full- on, all out, extravagant date night is absolutely necessary. Whether you are coming to New York City to celebrate a special occasion, or just want to have a romantic night away from home, this date is bound to impress.
THE FIRST
Bianca: New York is filled with some of the finest Italian restaurants and everyone has their own opinion on which is actually the best. One place that has come up more frequently than others is Bianca of the LES. Supposedly the wait at Bianca can be ridiculous however they send you next store to grab some drinks and dream of what is to come next. Highly recommended dishes include Tagliolini Ai Frutti Di Mare and the Lasagna. Nothing says romance like a good ol' "Lady and the Tramp" Italian meal.

THE SECOND
Apotheke: Hidden off Canal Street and disguised among Chinese restaurants lies Apotheke (pronunciation currently under debate). Apotheke is a traditional speakeasy, noticeable only by its large security guard who stands on the steps outside. Inside, is a dimly lit, yet vibrant room, centered on the medicinal bar. While the theme might be a little unauthentic (since speakeasies are currently the thing), the cocktails are so unique, and lovely that you will definitely be impressed. Although speakeasies are naturally romantic, it definitely wouldn't hurt to throw in a little Violet Hour (a drink in the “Aphrodisiac” section) to set the night off right.

THE THIRD
The Broome: Sometimes you stumble upon a place that is too good to be true and you cannot believe it actually exists. Enter The Broome. After a friend of mine sent me a picture of this picturesque hotel, I looked in to it and have determined that this is the perfect place in New York to spend that night away from home. If it’s a big night or you just want to remind someone that they’re still the one, book a room at this gem. The courtyard is quaint and the balconies off the pent house look like they may be some of the only peaceful locations left in Manhattan.
